Artwork stolen from Slifka Center

Artwork of Unabomber victim, his son stolen from Yale gallery
Mary E. O’Leary New Haven Register March 7, 2009

“Daniel Gelernter was hoping his first art show would generate some buzz. But what ensued this week wasn’t exactly what the young painter had in mind.

“One of Gelernter’s drawings, and two of his father’s artworks, were stolen over the past few days from the second-floor gallery at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale University.

“This was the third show at Slifka for his father, David Gelernter, a Yale professor of computer science, and one of the victims in 1993 of the Unabomber, Theodore Kaczynski.”
