John Szarkowski, 1925-2007

Legendary MoMA photography curator John Szarkowski died over the weekend. He was 81.  Szarkowski is often credited with helping establish photography as an accepted art form through his exhibits at MoMa and seminal writings on the subject, most notably The Photographer’s Eye of 1966.
