“Fifty students will rotate in four teams for a total of 16 hours a week over two months at the Kossuth Street lot to build a home for two female war veterans.
“The building project is a requirement for first-year architecture students, but this is the first time they have worked in tandem with Common Ground Community, whose aim is to solve homelessness.
“The owner/renter residence will also be the first home-ownership project for Common Ground and the first designed by the student architects to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.”
